I was watching one of those new bizarre gameshows on telly just before and this was an actual question...
Which of these is a children's television show:
a) pears in flares
b) bananas in pyjamas
c) peaches in breeches
Hilarious! Their question writer must be really bored with their job. But then I thought, bananas in pyjamas is actually a pretty crazy idea anyway.

I always think that about writers on tv. The inside jokes are what I love the most. For example, in Neighbours last year when bree discovered she had been switched as a baby, the nurse that told them was Nurse Louise Fletcher, who is of course the actress that played Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Then when Blind Anne (the real Bree Timmins) came on and tried to take over her life, I laughed because her character was Anne Baxter, who is the actress that played Eve Harrington in All About Eve, trying to take over Bette Davis' life.

wow, i'm so impressed with your knowledge of neighbours plot history. in my opinion its never topped the moment when scott and charlene got married and angry anderson sang suddenly at the wedding *sigh* x
